Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, appreciated India’s support all along. In a post on X, Reuven Azar said, “Thankful for the efforts of the Israeli delegation and all involved in reaching the agreement that will release all our hostages. Special thanks to POTUS Trump. Antonio Guterres assured that the United Nations will support the full implementation of the agreement, scale up the delivery of sustained and principled humanitarian relief, and advance recovery and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.

Antonio Guterres further urged for ending the ‘occupation’ for a two-state solution.

“I urge all stakeholders to seize this momentous opportunity to establish a credible political path forward towards ending the occupation, recognizing the right to self-determination of the Palestinian people, leading to a two-state solution to enable Israelis & Palestinians to live in peace & security,” Antonio Guterres said.

“The stakes have never been higher,” he added.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Response:

Benjamin Netanyahu called the deal a “diplomatic success and a national and moral victory for the State of Israel.”

He stated that with the approval of the first phase of the plan, all their hostages will be brought home.

“From the beginning, I made it clear: we will not rest until all our hostages return and all our goals are achieved,” he stated.

He added, “Through steadfast resolve, powerful military action, and the great efforts of our great friend and ally President Trump, we have reached this critical turning point.”

“I thank President Trump for his leadership, his partnership, and his unwavering commitment to the safety of Israel and the freedom of our hostages. God Bless Israel. God Bless America. God Bless our great alliance,” he wrote on X.
