Six employees, including two assistant superintendents, face suspension following revelations of alleged drug supply within Mansa jail

MANSA: In a startling revelation, a former prisoner, Subhash Kumar Arora, son of Makhan Lal, who was recently released from Mansa district jail, has brought to light a concerning issue of alleged drug supply within the prison. Arora's account sheds light on how financially affluent inmates in Mansa jail can access various comforts, including drugs, by making payments to jail authorities.

Moreover, Arora disclosed the rampant misuse of mobile phones by inmates within the jail premises. The negligent approach of the prison department regarding these grave matters has triggered a swift and stern response. Acting promptly on these revelations, the jail department has taken stringent action by suspending six employees, including Assistant Superintendents Bhivam Tej Singla and Kuljit Singh, as well as Warders Nirmal Singh, Harpreet Singh, Sukhwant Singh, and Harpreet Singh.
