Fire Rages in Chandigarh Sector 22 Building; There Are No Fatalities, Latest News: There was panic in Sector 22 today as a fire engulfed a busy multi-story complex that contains a number of offices and clinics.

Black smoke billowed from the top floors of the complex, which has locations such as Chandigarh Business Centre (CBC), Abrol E.N.T. Institute, and Delhi Punjab Real Estates.

The fire department responded promptly, rushing to the scene and effectively taming the flames before they could spread to nearby buildings. No one was injured during the incident.

Witnesses reported that the fire began at around midday. "We saw smoke and immediately notified the authorities. Everybody was able to evacuate safely," said one local shopkeeper.

Although the underlying cause of the fire is yet to be determined, preliminary observations indicate that the fire could have been triggered by a short circuit within an electrical device. Authorities are continuing to investigate to ascertain what took place.

The prompt response ensured the safety of all parties involved and averted a bigger catastrophe.
