The Prime Minister extended his greetings to fellow countrymen on the occasion of Sant Ravidas Jayanti and Magh Purnima.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday participated in the 649th birth anniversary celebrations of Sant Guru Ravidas Ji in Punjab’s Jalandhar district.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi said, “I pay my respects to the sacred soil of Punjab. Today marks the auspicious occasion of the 649th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Ji. I consider myself fortunate to be among you all on this pious occasion.”
The Prime Minister extended his greetings to fellow countrymen on the occasion of Sant Ravidas Jayanti and Magh Purnima.
“I have had the good fortune of serving Kashi as a Member of Parliament. It was on the ghats of Kashi that the teachings of Sant Ravidas Ji were revealed. We all draw great inspiration from his life and message,” PM Modi added.
Before addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Dera Sach Khand head Sant Niranjan Dass, offered prayers at the Dera Sach Khand Ballan headquarters.
Earlier in the day, Punjab Cabinet Ministers Harpal Singh Cheema and Mahinder Bhagat, along with administrative officials, welcomed Prime Minister Modi on his arrival at Sri Guru Ravidas Airport, Adampur.
