Pradeep Dhillon also had the additional charge of Jalandhar RTO

HOSHIARPUR: The Transport Department of Punjab has suspended the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) of Hoshiarpur. Hoshiarpur Regional Transport Officer Pradeep Dhillon also had the additional charge of Jalandhar RTO.

The Transport Department of Punjab has issued a suspension letter to RTO Pradeep Dhillon. The Transport Department of Punjab has taken action against Dhillon after receiving complaints and investigation reports. After the suspension of RTO, the work of both the districts will be affected again. 

Notably, In Jalandhar, people were facing problems due to the absence of RTO for a long time. Since there is no RTO in Jalandhar for a long time, the work of vehicle registration is getting affected a lot. RC pendency of vehicles in Jalandhar has crossed 1 lakh mark. People who have bought a new vehicle or want to get RC in their name after buying an old vehicle are going round the RTO office.
