“Unity will continue” says Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah in Joint Press Conference with Deputy CM DK Shivakumar

Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said he is with the chief minister Siddaramaiah and that there is no group as claimed in the media reports.

Karnataka News: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar hold a joint press conference in Bengaluru after a breakfast meeting this morning, where the CM said “unity will continue in the state.

After a breakfast meeting with Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said, "There are no differences between us, and there will be no differences in the future..." "Our agenda is the 2028 elections. Local body elections are important. We discussed them. We also discussed bringing back Congress in the 2028 elections. We discussed that we will go together. CM Siddaramaiah added, " We have decided that we will follow whatever the high command says. There will be no confusion from tomorrow. There is still no confusion. Some media reporters have created the confusion."

CM Siddaramaiah further stated, "The BJP and JDS have a habit of making false allegations. The BJP and JDS have made statements that they will bring a no-confidence motion. They are only 60, and the JDS is 18. They cannot match our numbers. We are 140. This is a futile exercise. We will confront their false allegations."

"As far as I know, some MLAs want to become ministers, so they might have gone to meet the high command. This does not mean that they are against the leadership. Some of them spoke to me and told me why they went to Delhi. Whatever the high command says, we will go by that,”  Siddaramaiah added.

Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said he is with the chief minister Siddaramaiah and that there is no group as claimed in the media reports.

"With the support of all of you, we have brought the Congress government and we are working as per our promise. The people of the state are giving their full support. We have to fulfill their wishes. We are working in that direction... whatever the high command says, we will follow that, and there is no group. Even now, we are working together. Whatever the CM said, I am with the CM. We are working together..." Shivakumar said.

The joint press conference comes after widespread speculation and media reports that Shivakumar would replace Siddaramaiah as the chief minister of Karnataka.
