President Murmu attended first show of new format of Changing of the Guard ceremony latest news: President Droupadi Murmu witnessed the first show of the new format of the Changing of the Guard ceremony on Sunday conducted in Rashtrapati Bhavan courtyard. Rashtrapati Bhavan tweeted, "The first show of the new format of Changing of the Guard ceremony was seen today in Rashtrapati Bhavan courtyard. President Droupadi Murmu witnessed the first show of the ceremony, to be conducted on every Saturday."
The tweet specify that the Changing of the Guard ceremony will also be convenient for a wider group of people from 22nd February 2025. "Now, the people can enjoy the impressive ceremony at the background of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The army drills by soldiers and horses of the President's Bodyguard as well as by ceremonial Guard Battalion units, with the ceremonial army brass band which is deployed at a wide scale, will all be a part of the new format," announced another tweet.
Further, the Rashtrapati Bhavan handler gave a connection for reservation to view the Guard Change ceremony. President Murmu had gone to Ranchi, Jharkhand, in the morning earlier on Saturday to attend the platinum jubilee function of Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra.
President Murmu stated that as technology gives rise to immense barriers in society, we need to be worried about how it affects marginalized groups. She stated, "The great opportunities being created must be available to everyone and the great changes being brought must benefit all."
The President further added that in many cases, huge technological interventions are not required to address the issues around us. She encouraged young people not to ignore the value of small-scale conventional solutions and informed that innovators and entrepreneurs must not overlook the knowledge base of traditional communities.
