A member of a mountaineering team from Bengaluru died at Bhojwasa while on their way to  Mt Bhagirathi-II peak in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand early Thursday. Bharat Ashok was part of the five-member team of climbers from Bengaluru. He fell sick at Nandan Van en route to the peak, the State Emergency Operation Centre said. Ashok was taken by his fellow mountaineers to Bhojwasa where he died at around 2 am, it said.  The team had started on its expedition to climb the peak on September 7, the Centre added.
