BSF Jawans Refuse to Board Train Due to Extremely Poor Conditions  latest newsUnion Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday confirmed that action was taken after around 1,200 BSF jawans deployed for security duty during the upcoming Amarnath Yatra refused to board a train due to its poor condition.

Speaking on the matter, Vaishnaw said, "Action was taken on this yesterday itself. The train's rake was changed, and four officers responsible have been suspended."

The incident occurred on Monday, when BSF personnel were scheduled to travel from Udaipur to Jammu. However, they refused to board the train after finding it in an unimaginably poor state. A replacement train with improved conditions was later arranged.

A video of the train went viral on social media, sparking widespread public outrage. Journalist Tamal Saha took to X (formerly Twitter) and questioned the treatment of the forces, asking,"WILL OUR HONOURABLE RAILWAY MINISTER TRAVEL IN SUCH A TRAIN? ISN’T THIS AN INSULT TO OUR FORCES? WHY WASN’T VANDE BHARAT GIVEN TO OUR JAWANS? Any insult to our jawans is an insult to the Nation. Will our Nationalist National News Channels, agencies and patriotic anchors take up this story?"
