Punjab Vidhan Sabha Monsoon Session Date, Cabinet Meeting Decisions Latest News: In a major development, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's cabinet has decided to convene the monsoon session of the Punjab Assembly in the first week of September. According to the cabinet's decision, the assembly session will be held from September 2 to 4.

In the meeting of the Punjab Cabinet held on Wednesday, the cabinet gave its nod to approval for amendments in the fire safety rules, giving Rs 600 daily allowance to counselors posted in the family court of Punjab and Punjab's first sports policy.

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Aman Arora said on Wednesday that the Punjab Cabinet has approved amendments to the Punjab Fire Safety Rules. With this decision of the government, people will now have to take NOC related to fire safety after three years instead of every year. 

Apart from this, it has also been decided to amend the recruitment rules of the fire department. Recruitment rules have been made easier, especially for women so that female candidates can easily join the fire department.

The Mann cabinet has also approved Punjab's first sports policy. Now a cadre of 500 posts will be set up for medal-winning players. This will include the posts of 460 senior coaches and 40 deputy directors.
