It all started when the shopkeepers on the Kawar route were instructed to write their names and identities on their nameplates. To this, Sonu Sood reacted  and wrote, "Every shop should have only one name plate and that is 'Humanity'." To this, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh also jumped in the row and replied to Sonu Sood.

Actress and MP Kangana Ranaut said, “Kangana Ranaut's team agrees. Halal should be replaced with "humanity". Every shop should have only one nameplate "Humanity".

After this, a video went viral on social media in which a man was seen spitting on bread. While sharing this video, Sonu Sood was tagged and asked that someone should deliver the food from here to Sonu Sood. On this, Sonu Sood said that if Lord Ram can eat plums, half-eaten by Shabri, then why can't he eat it. He also said that violence can be prevented by non-violence.

Likewise, Kangana Ranaut replied, "Next you know Sonu ji will direct his own Ramayana based on his own personal findings about God and religion. Wah kya baat hai Bollywood se ek aur Ramayana."
