PM Modi Arrives in Israel for Second State Visit, Receives Guard of Honour
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Tel Aviv on Wednesday for a two-day state visit to Israel, accepting an invitation from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This marks Prime Minister Modi’s second official visit to Israel, following his first visit in 2017. The visit is intended to further strengthen the already robust and multifaceted Strategic Partnership between the two nations, which has grown significantly in recent years.
Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, Prime Minister Modi was received with a Guard of Honour, reflecting the ceremonial significance of the visit. Prime Minister Netanyahu, along with his wife Sara Netanyahu, personally welcomed Modi, emphasising the close personal rapport between the two leaders. The meeting included a warm exchange of greetings, highlighting the cordial relationship that underpins the bilateral ties.
Israeli Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, was also present during the reception, reinforcing the diplomatic importance of the event.
Ahead of his journey, Prime Minister Modi described the visit as a key opportunity to deepen the partnership between India and Israel. In his statement, he noted that the countries share a strategic and growing relationship across multiple sectors.
