Bigg Boss 19, BB 2025, Contestants List, Premiere Date, Theme Latest News: The highly anticipated Bigg Boss season 19 is all set to stream later this month, with the trailer of the show launched just yesterday, wherein the star of the show and the all-time everyone’s favourite, Salman Khan, has stepped into a political avatar to reveal the theme and more in the new era of Bigg Boss.

Not just Salman Khan, even the set of the show has a parliament-like setup with a highly fashioned throne-like chair along with a podium adorned on a stage inside the parliament-like setting. Very like the one where the Speaker or the vice president sits and presides over proceedings in the Upper and Lower Houses of real-life Parliament.

If you are wondering who gets to sit on the throne, then it’s Salman Khan probably or who knows a housemate with a special power too, as we have seen in the previous seasons that every week, a housemate or two or even a group gets special power. However, in this case, the throne is dedicated either solely to Salman Khan, the GOAT host, or a housemate with a special power, as there is only one throne.

This season, the audience will get to see ‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar’, and the drama is not just going to be crazy, it’s going to be ‘democrazy’.

Salman in the trailer said that every small and big decision will be in the hands of the housemates, adding, “So, housemates, do whatever you want to do, man. But be ready for the consequences, and the public."

The drama-packed show will stream on Jio Hotstar and Colors TV from August 24 at 9 PM and 10:30 PM, respectively.

As for the contestants participating in the show, the names of some of the popular faces have surfaced. Following are some of the names potentially participating in this season:

Purav Jha: The imposter, internet’s male sensation, and Viral King of The Year awardee, is confirmed to be Bigg Boss 19 contestant, as per reports.

Shailesh Lodha:  Actor Shailesh Lodha from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, who quit the show back in 2022, is being speculated to be one of the contestants. 

Payal Dhare: Influencer Payal Dhare, popularly known as  Payal Gamingg, also appeared to be a confirmed contestant. She is best known for her collabs with Sonakshi Sinha and Rohit Sharma.

Priyanka Jagga: Controversial, Bigg Boss 10 contestant Priyanka Jagga recently claimed in a social media post that she has been approached by the makers of the show; however, nothing is confirmed yet. If her claims turn true, the show would be interesting. 

Priyanka Jagga has been banned from Colors TV following her ugly clash with the host of the show, Salman Khan, in season 10.

Gurucharan Singh: Another potential contestant for the show is Gurucharan Singh, also known as Sodhi. Sodhiquitted Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in December 2024, is also likely to join this season.

Mr Faisu: The influencer, who earlier appeared in Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi, is also on the list.

Amaal Malik​: Amaal Malik, brother of singer Armaan Malik, is also being speculated to join the show. He had recently made headlines for accusing his family of being manipulative in a post on social media.

Sreerama Chandra: Singer Sreerama Chandra, who has already been on Bigg Boss Telugu Season 5 and has been part of multiple other reality shows, is also being seen as a potential contestant.

Dhanashree Verma: Dhanashree Verma has been making headlines ever since rumors about her divorce from ex-husband Yuzvendra Chahal surfaced. She is also being seen as a potential contestant

Gaurav Khanna: Popular actor Gaurav Khanna, who recently appeared in Rupali Ganguly's Anupamaa, has almost signed, the report said.

Apoorva Mukhija: Another internet sensation and influencer, Apoorva Mukhija, aka the Rebel Kid, who recently appeared in Karan Johar’s show The Traitors India Season 1, is seen as a highly likely contestant.

Hunar Gandhi: Hunar Gandhi, who made her debut with Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, is now eyeing reality shows and may also be a contestant.

These are some of the contestants speculated to be part of the show, according to multiple reports. As the theme of the show is out, the Bigg Boss show, known for its intense drama of the housemates, and the twist and turns of the Bigg Boss itself, appears to be much more interesting this season with a ‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar’ twist.
