The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has decided to release 8,500 cusecs of water from Bhakra Dam to Haryana immediately. The decision was taken in a lengthy meeting of the technical panel of the board, which was presided over by BBMB Chairman Manoj Tripathi.
