Pakistan, Sri Lanka set for Day-Night Test

According to the reports, Sri Lanka are set to join the Day-Night Test bandwagon with one of their two Tests against Pakistan later this month set to be played under lights in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Sri Lanka are scheduled to play two Tests, five One-Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals starting September 28. The popularity of pink-ball Tests has been on the rise with England, South Africa, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and Windies having already played at least a game each.

Sri Lanka are also set to play the at least one of the three T20Is in Pakistan, subject to security clearance. Pakistan will host a World XI side for three T20Is and if there are no security concerns emanating post that, more cricket is set to return to the country. Windies too have agreed to tour Pakistan.

Sri Lankan players were attacked in 2009 by a terrorist group in Lahore, leaving a few players and officials injured. Since then,there hasn't been much international cricket in Pakistan
