The total estimated investment for these developments exceeds 18,300 crore rupees, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhancing urban mobility. The newly operational corridors include a segment on the Pink Line connecting Majlis Park to Maujpur-Babarpur, and a section of the Magenta Line stretching from Dipali Chowk to Majlis Park.

Alongside these inaugurations, the Prime Minister will initiate construction for three new corridors under Phase-5 (A) of the metro project. These additions are expected to further extend connectivity across the city, reduce congestion, and provide faster, more reliable travel options for commuters.

Officials noted that the metro expansion is part of broader efforts to modernize Delhi’s transport infrastructure and promote sustainable urban travel. The projects aim to make public transit more accessible, efficient, and convenient for daily passengers while supporting the city’s long-term development plans.
