Bangalore: October 31 The latest of the sporting leagues to have hit the market is Raj Kundra's Match Indian Poker League (MIPL). Starting from 17th November 2017, the MatchIPL aims to create a niche market for poker and bring it to the sporting genre. Of the eight franchises sold, Bangalore Royals seems to be taking away all the attention.
The team, which is owned by businessman and poker enthusiast Gaurav Kapur, has been in the news ever since the announcement of the MatchIPL. The Bangalore Royals team made their entry with a splash by bringing on board Akash Pritom, who tops the MatchIPL leader board as their first signed player. Speaking on this Gaurav Kapur said, "We are here to stay. Bangalore Royals will prove to be the best team in the league and we will ensure no stone is left unturned in achieving this.
The Bangalore Royals have been gearing up with all their skills and team strategies to maximise eyeballs towards the league. Apart from crucially shortlisting and selecting the best for their team, Bangalore Royals have also launched a corporate challenge, wherein two seats in the team will be awarded to the winners. Bangalore Royals would also like to give its fans a chance to participate in the biggest poker league and have a chance to represent team India. Poker enthusiasts can register themselves at http://www.bangaloreroyals.com to get a chance to be a part of the Bangalore Royals team.
The biggest highlight of the MatchIPL is that the team that wins the league goes on to be 'Team India' in the Poker World Cup to be held in Oxford in December this year. Where all other teams will be competing to grab this mammoth of an opportunity, it seems that the Bangalore Royals team is already leading the race. Watch out for the MatchIPL on the 17th and 18th November 2017. The league will have a deferred broadcast on MTV in December 2017.
