In the upcoming two weeks, a robust team of 117 athletes will strive to improve the same at the Paris Olympics 2024. Paris is hosting its third Olympic Games after 1900 and 1924.

Given the Paris Olympics 2024, let's discuss the top 5 medal contenders which include the names of the Golden Arm Neeraj Chopra, Boxer Nikhar Zareen, and Badminton star PV Sindhu.

Neeraj Chopra 

The Tokyo Olympics 2024 gold medalist has claimed victory in every major championship, including the esteemed Diamond League. Now, all eyes would be on him as India is very hopeful of a medal from him. 

Nikhat Zareen

Nikhat Zareen, the reigning queen of boxing in the 50 kg category, has dominated the sport for the past two years. She has clinched back-to-back gold medals at the World Championships in 2022 and 2023. Now, it's 2024, and the Olympics yet again. So, Indians are expecting a medal from her as well.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty 

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have captured nearly every major title, including the BWF World Tour Super 1000 title and the gold medal at the Asian Games, while also ascending to the world No. 1 ranking. The fast courts in Paris are ideal for their aggressive style. If they can manage the pressure, they are likely to finish on the podium.

PV Sandhu

With a silver medal from the 2016 Rio Olympics and a bronze from the 2020 Tokyo Games, PV Sindhu is aiming to become the first Indian badminton player to win three Olympic medals. Notably, no Indian has ever secured three individual Olympic medals.
