There was no Virat Kohli in the Test series.
IND vs ENG Test Series 2024, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, and Sarfaraz Khan: India has just written yet another chapter of comeback in Test cricket. After losing the first Test match of the 5-match Test series against England, India made another comeback as it defeated the Three Lions in the fourth Test and won the series 3-1, with one more match scheduled to be held in Dharamshala from March 7.
There was no Virat Kohli in the Test series, no KL Rahul from the second Test, and no Jasprit Bumrah in the fourth Test. But, India had Yashaswi Jaiswal, India was later joined by Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel, the debutants, Akash Deep, yet another debutant, and none other than the skipper Rohit Sharma.
India proved that even their youngsters are capable of smashing the ball out of the ground, doesn't matter if the giant Anderson is throwing his swings, their "wall" Joe Root is there, or Sir Ben Stokes is leading the side.
The youngsters joined Rohit Sharma as they stood tall against the English players and defeated them in the second, third, and fourth Test. England defeated India by 28 runs in the first Test after which India beat England by 106 runs in the second Test, by 434 runs in the third Test, and by 5 wickets in the fourth Test.
The victory also marked India's 17th straight home series win.
