The tournament will feature eight teams competing in 15 matches over 19 days, with games hosted across Pakistan and Dubai. In Pakistan, matches will be held in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi, while Dubai will host all matches involving India.
The tournament kicks off on February 19 with Pakistan taking on New Zealand in Group A at Karachi. Group B action begins two days later when Afghanistan faces South Africa in Karachi. A highly anticipated clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India is scheduled for February 23 in Dubai.
The final is slated for March 9 in Lahore, unless India qualifies, in which case the venue will shift to Dubai. Both semi-finals and the final have reserve days to ensure uninterrupted play.
The eight teams competing for the coveted title earned their spots by finishing in the top eight positions during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
Group A: Pakistan (hosts), India, New Zealand, Bangladesh
Group B: Australia (Cricket World Cup 2023 champions), England, Afghanistan, South Africa
