Enjoying my cricket at the Moment: Arshdeep Singh

NEW DELHI: Defending 15 in the final over of Mumbai Indians' 215-run chase, Arshdeep bowled Tilak Verma and all-rounder Nehal Wadhera with a yorker to mid-stump. Punjab Kings fast bowler Arshdeep Singh smashed the middle stump on 2 consecutive balls in the last over at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday to defeat Mumbai Indians by 13 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav's 57 and Cameron Green's 67 helped Mumbai move towards their first successful 200-run target at Wankhede. The left-arm fast bowler, PBKS' leading wicket-taker this season, finished with figures of 4/29 from four overs. Tilak Verma (L) and Nehal Vadhera (R) were bowled by Arshdeep Parlers in the final over.

Arshdeep also topped the IPL 2023 Purple Cap list with 13 wickets in seven matches. The 24-year-old also became the fourth PBKS bowler to take 50-plus wickets in the IPL.

Reflecting on his performance after the match, Arshdeep said, "Whenever I take wickets, it feels good. At the moment I feel even happier when the team wins. I shortened my run-up. Because it has helped me with the no-ball problem. Enjoying my cricket at the moment."
