'Sukhna Ko Aur Kitna Sukhaoge': SC Slams 'Builder Mafias' For Destroying Chandigarh Lake
The Supreme Court on Wednesday expressed concerns over the drying up of Chandigarh's iconic Sukhna Lake to raise the issue of illegal construction while hearing the Aravalli Hills case. While warning the Haryana government against repeating past mistakes, a Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant said the Sukhna Lake had been "completely damaged" due to the connivance of officials and the builder mafia.
