This match marks Afghanistan's debut in the ICC Champions Trophy.

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy features the top eight One Day International (ODI) cricket teams, divided into two groups:

Group B: Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan

The tournament is being held from February 19 to March 9, 2025, primarily in Pakistan. Due to political tensions, India's matches, including potential semi-finals and the final, are being played in Dubai, UAE.
