Chandigarh: As the much-anticipated #INDvsENG Test series kicked off at Headingley, Leeds, former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh expressed his support for Shubman Gill, who is captaining a young Indian side in the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma.
Speaking to ANI, Yograj Singh stated, “Shubman Gill will have to lead from the front. Everyone must be taken along—it’s a young team. With seniors like Jadeja and Bumrah, Gill should constantly discuss and plan with them. It’s very important for the captain’s role. I pray God gives him success; he is a very big player.”
