TATA IPL 2026 Update: Many franchises have confirmed some of the biggest player trades in recent seasons. It has reshaped team dynamics just ahead of the retention deadline. According to multiple confirmed reports, including The Economic Times, Gulf News, Times of India, and franchise statements, the following trades are official and approved.

Ravindra Jadeja to Rajasthan Royals (RR)

 One of the most surprising moves of the window is that former CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja has been traded to Rajasthan Royals. As reported by the Times of India, the franchise termed it “one of the toughest decisions taken”, confirming Jadeja will join RR at a revised fee reportedly around ₹14 crore, down from ₹18 crore in CSK. Jadeja ends a 12-season association with CSK and leaves as one of the league’s most experienced all-rounders with 250+ IPL matches.

 Sanju Samson to Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

In a blockbuster reverse swap, Sanju Samson, RR’s long-time captain and India wicketkeeper-batter, will now play for CSK. Gulf News and ET confirm Samson moves at his existing ₹18 crore fee, making CSK only the third franchise of his career. Samson brings experience from 177 IPL matches and a reputation as a top-order stabiliser.

Sam Curran to Rajasthan Royals

England’s all-rounder Sam Curran also joins RR from CSK at his existing fee of ₹2.4 crore, as reported by InsideSport. Curran has played 64 IPL matches and adds depth to RR’s all-rounder options.

Mohammed Shami to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

Veteran pacer Mohammed Shami has been officially traded from SRH to LSG at his existing ₹10 crore fee, confirmed by Economic Times. Shami, the 2023 Purple Cap winner with 28 wickets, brings firepower and leadership to LSG’s bowling attack after missing IPL 2024 due to injury.

Other Trades

* Mayank Markande → Mumbai Indians (MI) (from KKR), confirmed at his existing fee.

* Arjun Tendulkar → LSG (from MI), at existing fee.

* Nitish Rana → Delhi Capitals (from RR), at ₹4.2 crore, confirmed by InsideSport.

* Donovan Ferreira → RR (from DC), fee revised to ₹1 crore as reported.

With these trades officially confirmed, IPL 2026 already promises a drastically reshaped tournament — and more announcements may follow as the deadline approaches.
