Harbhajan Singh reacted strongly to Akmal's remarks and expressed his displeasure on social media.

Kamran Akmal vs Harbhajan Singh Controversy over Arshdeep Singh remark: Pakistani cricketer Kamran Akmal recently apologized publicly for making 'discourteous' comments regarding Arshdeep Singh's religion during the India vs Pakistan, T20 World Cup 2024 match, wherein the Men in Green faced a shameful defeat against those in blue.

Harbhajan Singh, a former Indian cricketer criticized Kamran Akmal on social media for his inappropriate remarks. Akmal, the former Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman, extended an unconditional apology to Harbhajan for his offensive comments about Sikhs, which sparked Harbhajan's anger.

The incident arose when Harbhajan reposted a video of Akmal on a panel for ARY News, a Pakistani news outlet. In the footage, Akmal made a controversial remark about Arshdeep's religion, stating, "Anything can happen. The last over will be bowled by Arshdeep Singh; he hasn't been in a great rhythm. And it's already 12 o'clock," while laughing with other panelists. 

These comments were made during the 19th over of Pakistan's innings at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

Harbhajan Singh reacted strongly to Akmal's remarks and expressed his displeasure on social media. "Shame on you, Kamran Akmal. Learn the history of Sikhs before making such comments. Sikhs have a proud history of protecting others. Show some respect," Harbhajan wrote.

During the match, Arshdeep Singh had to defend 17 runs in the final over and did an excellent job, giving away only 11 runs and securing a six-run win for India. He also took the vital wicket of Imad Wasim on the first ball of the over, finishing with figures of 1/31 in his four overs.
