Paris Olympics 2024, Manu Bhaker 25m Air Pistol Shooting Event Final: India has so far bagged three medals at Paris Olympics 2024 and all three of them have come from shooting events. Now, India is eyeing yet another medal from the shooting event as Manu Bhaker, double bronze medalist in this edition, has qualified for the finals of the 25m Air Pistol event on Friday.
It is worth mentioning that India opened its account in the Paris Olympics in 2024 after 22-year-old Manu Bhaker became the first Indian woman to win a medal in the shooting event in the history of the Olympics. Manu Bhaker won the bronze medal for India in the Women's 10m Air Pistol.
Later, Manu Bhaker won another bronze medal along with Sarabjot Singh in the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event. She scripted the history of becoming the first-ever Indian to have won 2 medals in a single Olympic edition. Besides, this is the first time that India has won more than 2 medals in shooting within a single edition of the Olympics.
Continuing her legacy, Manu Bhaker will now compete in the finals of the 25m Air Pistol event which is considered her strong game.
On the other hand, Esha Singh had also participated in the same event but eventually, she fell out of the qualifying spots in a Rapid round. Esha played amazingly in the Precision round but couldn't continue her stellar performance in the Rapid round. Thus, she got eliminated but Manu Bhaker has kept her hopes high.
