LONDON: In a remarkable tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on her first death anniversary, Sanjeev Mehta, the Indian-origin CEO of the East India Company, has unveiled a precious coin crafted from a magnificent blend of diamonds and gold. This coin, aptly named "The Crown," stands as a testament to 16 months of meticulous craftsmanship and is being hailed as the most valuable coin in history, with an astounding price tag of 23 million US dollars, equivalent to Rs 191 crore.
"The Crown" coin's allure lies in its lavish composition, boasting a remarkable assembly of 6426 dazzling diamonds, a 1 Kg gold coin and 10 pristine 24-carat gold coins. Its creation was a collaborative effort involving skilled artisans from diverse corners of the world, including India, Singapore, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Sri Lanka.
Sanjeev Mehta, the visionary behind this extraordinary coin, has described it as a symbol of enduring reverence for Queen Elizabeth II. He stated, "This coin encapsulates the essence of royalty, blending the splendor of diamonds with the purity of gold to honor a beloved monarch's legacy."
