United Sikhs (Headquarters) Director Narpinder Mann honored for long-standing service and dedication to the community
London, UK — UNITED SIKHS (headquarters) and Khalsa Diwan Afghanistan (UK) hosted a special gathering in Parliament yesterday to commemorate Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab and the 350th Shaheedi Samagam honouring Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The event brought together community leaders, parliamentarians, and supporters who shared a commitment to preserving Sikh history and values.

The programme also featured a special recognition ceremony. Ms. Narpinder Mann BEM, Director UNITED SIKHS (Headquarters) received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Khalsa Diwan Afghanistan in appreciation of her longstanding service and dedication to the community.
Padma Shri Bob Blackman, CBE, attended as a key supporter and helped make it possible for the celebrations to take place within Parliament. His presence was warmly acknowledged by the organisers.

Four Members of Parliament attended, including three Sikh MPs who proudly represented the community in traditional Dastar. Those present were Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi, Gurinder Singh Joshan, CBE, and Warinder Jas, MP. Their participation added a sense of pride and visibility to the occasion.

Organisers expressed gratitude for the support from Parliament, the MPs in attendance, and the many individuals who contributed to making the gathering a meaningful reflection on Sikh heritage and sacrifice.
