Yogi Adityanath, Amit Shah Hand Over Appointment Letters to New UP Police Constables latest news: On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Home Minister Amit Shah handed over appointment letters to 60,244 newly selected police constables at a special ceremony held at the Defence Expo Ground in Lucknow.

Speaking at the event, Home Minister Amit Shah said,“Today is the most auspicious day in the lives of the youth sitting in front of me, as more than 60,000 young men and women representing every caste, community, and district of Uttar Pradesh are becoming an active part of the largest police force in India.

The state's law and order situation was continuously deteriorating, but after the BJP government came to power in 2017 and Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister, the Uttar Pradesh Police began rising to new heights."

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated, “This recruitment and appointment program is taking place at a time when the country is witnessing a new era under 11 years of good governance led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In the last eight years, the state government has set an example of fairness and transparency in recruitment by providing over 8.5 lakh government jobs to the youth of Uttar Pradesh. Today’s event is yet another testament to that commitment."

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said the leadership of Home Minister Amit Shah had led to a decisive crackdown on organized crime, the Naxalite movement, and elements disturbing peace across the country.

Taking a jibe at the Congress, he added, “We clearly remember how, under the Congress and other opposition governments, innocent people were routinely killed by Naxalites. The Union Home Minister vowed to eliminate those spreading violence and unrest. What has been achieved today was awaited since independence. I believe the Naxalite movement will be completely eradicated by July, well before the set deadline.”

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also addressed the gathering, saying, “Before the BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh, hooliganism and violence were widespread. Today, you are joining the police force at a time of strong governance and law and order. We are committed to ensuring the safety of the people of Uttar Pradesh, conducting corruption-free recruitment, and freeing the state from the menace of the 'Nakal Mafia' (cheating rackets in exams).”
