Judge Darbari Lal today sentenced gangster Daljit Singh Bhana to life
imprisonment in a three-year-old double murder case. Bhana’s accomplices
Dalvir Singh and Balvir Singh Cheema were acquitted.
Two youths, Simran and Deepansh, had been gunned down in Raja Garden Colony on February 26, 2014. Both were witnesses to the murder of mobile shop owner Prince Vig. The latter had been killed by Bhana on May 8, 2012, in the locality. The duo had been receiving threats not to assist another prime witness, Shami Kumar, who was scheduled to appear in the court that day.
