
With more than 70%of construction work complete on the project of domestic airport at Adampur, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma today said that flights from this ambitious airport would start soon.
The Deputy Commissioner who visited the site of the project said that more than 70% of the work on this project has been completed and the remaining work would be completed within coming ten days. Mr. Sharma expressed complete satisfaction on the ongoing work and said that it must be completed by the given deadline.
The Deputy Commissioner visited under construction passenger lounge at the terminal where he was apprised that almost the entire work on this project has been completed. He was informed that the lounge would be soon given a finishing touch after which it would be available for operations. Likewise, Mr. Sharma was also informed that the parking lot and approach road to airport was also ready for use.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to ensure that work was completed at the earliest. He said that the state government was committed for starting this airport at the earliest to facilitate the people and to ensure holistic development of the region and prosperity of its people.
