Spokesman News Service, Chandigarh, October 31: Driving home the message of unity and national integrity across the state, Additional Chief Secretary Home, N.S. Kalsi today administered the oath to Punjab Civil Secretariat-2 employees to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel which is being observed as “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day)” across the country. The pledge taking ceremony was organized in the premises of the Punjab Civil Secretariat-2 where all employees took pledge to make their contribution to ensure internal security of their country.

While addressing the gathering, Additional Chief Secretary Home N.S.kalsi said this occasion provides us an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country. He further added that Sardar Patel worked hard to bring everyone together, fought for unity and brought unity among the people.
