AMRITSAR: In a collaborative effort by the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police, a substantial consignment of heroin valued at Rs 17.5 crores was successfully recovered following a search operation near the international border. The seizure comes as Pakistani drones once again attempted to facilitate smuggling activities, prompting a swift and coordinated response by the security forces.

Reports indicate that a drone intrusion was detected in the border village of Rania in Amritsar, prompting immediate action by BSF and Punjab Police. The subsequent search operation yielded significant results, as BSF personnel discovered six small bottles containing a total of 2.630 kilograms of heroin concealed in a plastic packet. This valuable haul has been sealed and forwarded for forensic examination to ascertain additional details.
