The Vande Bharat fleet introduces two trains for Haryana-Punjab, enhancing connectivity for diverse passengers. One of these trains will journey from New Delhi Railway Station to Maa Vaishno Devi Katra station in Jammu and Kashmir, traversing through Haryana and Punjab. The second Vande Bharat train is set to operate between Amritsar and Old Delhi Railway Station, further strengthening the rail network.

The Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat train is designed to cover the distance in approximately 5.45 hours, departing at 8.05 am and arriving in Delhi at 1.30 pm. Notable stoppages include Beas, Jalandhar Cantt, Phagwara, Ludhiana, and Ambala Cantt. This initiative aims to streamline travel, offering an efficient alternative to existing services.

While the Vande Bharat Express boasts a travel time only 25 minutes less than the popular Swarn Shatabdi, it comes with a marginally higher fare. The chair car and executive class tickets are priced 1.4 times and 1.3 times higher, respectively. Despite this, the enhanced schedule aims to cater to the preferences of travelers seeking daytime journeys. The inauguration of the Vande Bharat Express is poised to benefit passengers who prefer reaching Delhi in the evening. With its 8.05 am departure from Amritsar and 1.30 pm arrival in Delhi, the service fills a crucial gap in the travel schedule, aligning with the needs of the commuting public.
