Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Health Update: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was rushed to the emergency ward of a private hospital in Sector 62, Mohali, around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. The Chief Minister is currently under observation after being admitted due to health concerns.

The state government initially described his hospital visit as a “routine check-up and tests,” with further updates provided later in the day.

In an official statement, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) confirmed that various tests were being conducted to assess Mann's condition. "Doctors have found signs of inflammation in one of the arteries in his lungs, which is exerting pressure on his heart, causing fluctuations in his blood pressure," the CMO reported. Additional tests and blood work have been conducted, and Mann is expected to remain under observation overnight. A decision regarding his discharge will be made based on test results expected by Friday morning.

This hospital visit follows recent health concerns, as the Chief Minister has fainted three times in the past few days. Most recently, on September 17, Mann fainted after de-boarding a chartered flight at Chandigarh airport, citing low blood pressure. After initial medical attention at his residence, he was advised to fly to a private hospital in Delhi for further evaluation.

Sources report that Mann, who arrived at the hospital around midnight, is in stable condition and recovering on the second floor of the Mohali facility.
