Bachittar Singh, President of the Toll Plaza Employees Union District, confirmed that the toll remained closed for about an hour. Employee Grievances

Union leader Darshan Singh Ladi had earlier raised concerns over the lack of basic employee benefits at the toll plaza. Workers were reportedly denied government holidays, PF contributions, and access to welfare schemes like ESI. The toll plaza workers' union had initially announced an indefinite closure starting September 27 but ended the strike after reaching a settlement with the management.

With operations back to normal, vehicles are once again being charged toll fees, bringing the brief disruption to an end.
