Police Carried out massive operation on the instructions of by Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Police undertook a significant operation, raiding suspected locations believed to be hideouts of criminals and associates associated with anti-national elements. Acting upon the directives of Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, simultaneous raids were carried out throughout the state, targeting various locations linked to criminal networks.

Gaurav Yadav's directive propelled a coordinated effort by the police force, leading to raids at 264 residences and other suspected spots associated with close aides of several notorious gangsters spread across all 28 police districts in Punjab. The objective of the operation was to dismantle criminal networks and curb anti-national activities within the state.

To ensure the efficacy of this extensive campaign, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Gurinder Singh Dhillon instructed all commissioners and senior police officials to mobilize robust teams led by inspectors or sub-inspectors. The focus was on strategic deployment to maximize the impact of the operation.

Over 150 teams, each comprising a minimum of 500 personnel, executed the raids, resulting in the interrogation of 229 individuals connected to the criminal networks. The planned operation was devised after thorough interrogations of previously arrested members of various gangs operating within the state.

Notably, The police teams carried out comprehensive searches at the targeted residences and locations linked to these criminals, seizing electronic devices and collecting crucial data. This evidence will be subject to forensic examination, aiding in further investigations and the dismantling of criminal networks.
