SGPC President Accuses Political Parties of Corruption and Divisive Tactics

SGPC president called on all SGPC members to unite under the banner of Khalsa Panth.

During a media address on Friday, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Harjinder Singh Dhami made significant allegations. He asserted that the rebel faction is not only working to create divisions within the Sikh community, but also these anti-cult organizations aim to capture the SGPC. 

Advocate Dhami stated that he possesses strong evidence linking certain individuals to the BJP and claimed that members are being lured with money to buy them. He noted that the political parties, including RSS, and BJP, have united to support this rebel faction and mislead members.

Harjinder Singh Dhami also emphasized that this is the first instance in the 104-year history of the Shiromani Committee where governments have directly interfered in its annual elections. He criticized those who consider themselves reformists, stating they are damaging Sikh traditions. 

The SGPC president called on all SGPC members to unite under the banner of Khalsa Panth instead of aligning with political leaders or governments.

Before this announcement, Advocate Dhami held a meeting with SGPC members from Amritsar and Tarn Taran districts. The gathering included Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta and other members, including Baba Singh Gumanpura, who had previously joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
