Agriculture Department has extended last date for verification of bills & machines till 7th November 2018...

“The Agriculture Department, Punjab, has extended the last date for  verification of bills and machines till 7th November for those farmers and Farmer Groups, whose applications submitted under the Scheme for the purchase of Agricultural machinery for in situ management of crop residue/paddy straw will now be accepted by the department.”

Divulging this here today, the Secretary, Agriculture, Kahan Singh Pannu said that the earlier date was 24th October 2018.  He also expressed confidence that like lot of farmers who have stopped burning paddy straw, others will also follow suit. This will prove to be a boon for the soil productivity.
