The corona virus has taken a terrible turn around the world by which food and drinks are a huge challenge to the economically weaker sections of the society due to this lockdown.

Where governments are constantly striving to help them under the CU-Aid campaign of Chandigarh University Gharuan, Mohali, also now under the inspiration of Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Mr. VP Badnaur they are providing quality and healthy food to the needy in Chandigarh.

file photofile photoUnder the cooperation of UT administration and Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Singh Brar and under the leadership of CU-Aid volunteers, the village of Attawa, Sector 42, Chandigarh, Sector 52 Village Kajheri and Sector 25 Dhanas Colonies families reached and more than a thousand people were served with healthy food.

Giving more information about this campaign, the Chancellor of Chandigarh University Satnam Singh Sandhu said that the varsity has been in constant touch with the Chandigarh administration and is delivering food to the needy and wherever
we will get the information, 'varsity volunteers ensure their access to them.

PhotoPhotoHe said that under CU-Aid, varsity has provided two meals a day to about 1000 needy people in different parts of the country while the distribution of sanitizers is also continuous to maintain cleanliness in progress.

Sandhu said that from the first day of lockdown, Chandigarh University is feeding around 2,000 needy people daily in the vicinity of Mohali. Under the CU-Aid campaign so far 60 thousand food are being delivered to the needy. More than a dozen people have been served quality and healthy food, he said.

PhotoPhotoIn addition to this, AIIMS has provided around 3500 liters hand sanitizers to Delhi, police administration and old age homes due to corona virus.
