Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic) MLA and former Punjab finance minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa on Monday appealed the party workers to join

Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic) MLA and former Punjab finance minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa on Monday appealed the party workers to join the farmers’ stir in New Delhi on November 26 and 27, against the ‘black agricultural laws’ forced by the centre government.

Parminder Singh Dhindsa who along with other senior party leaders would join the farmers’ organisations ‘Delhi Chalo’ march, said that the Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic) stands shoulder to shoulder with the farmers in every struggle and assist their agitation till the agricultural laws were repealed.

Taking a dig at the Centre’s three agriculture ordinances, he said that the farmers had never demanded such laws. “For whom are these laws been imposed? The purpose of these laws was to gradually exclude the farmers from government procurement and benefit those farmers who were dependent on the government and big traders,” said Dhindsa.

“In particular Punjab was targeted and with these farm laws, centre government had made a mockery of the democracy,” he added.

SADSAD “The farmers of Punjab had shown the way to the farmers of the entire nation. We all have to take this fight forward by forgetting our differences. It is time to unite and intensify the struggle,” said Dhindsa.

“As November 26 is country’s Constitution Day, we hope that we would get the right to speak on the occasion,” he added. The party workers were mobilising from village to village for the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march and as the farmers had decided to go by tractor-trolleys; the party leaders would also go with them in the same way, he said.
