Appeals to simplify visa requirements to visit other religious places in Pakistan as well

Spokesman News Service: Chandigarh, November 22, 2018: The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday welcomed the decision of govt. to open Sri Kartarpur Sahib corridor to visit Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib related to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Pakistan.

In a press joint statement, the leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha Harpal Singh Cheema, chief spokesperson MLA Prof. Baljinder Kaur, MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwan, MLA Amarjeet Singh Sandoa, and MLA Kulwant Singh Pandori said that the move has fulfilled the wish of Sikh Sangat residing around the globe.

AAP leaders said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the universal guru and the teachings of Guru must be spread to the people of every religion around the world. The leaders also hailed the decision to develop Sultanpur Lodhi as a heritage city.

AAP leaders said that many religious places to Sikh religion had gone to Pakistan after the partition of undivided India and Sikh Sangat always seek to visit the holy places. The leaders appealed to the govt. to simplify visa requirements to visit other religious places in Pakistan as well. The leaders also demanded to set up an office of external affair ministry at Sri Amritsar Sahib to assist the pilgrims visiting the religious places exclusively.
