Amarinder Singh, has waived off the toll tax for freedom fighters. In addition, 300 units of electricity are being given at free of cost on domestic connection.
Tubewell connections are also being provided on a priority basis. Five beds in Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh are reserved for freedom fighters.The widows, unmarried and unemployed girls of freedom fighters and an attendant have bben given free travel facility in the Punjab government buses.
