Chandigarh, 20 August, The representatives of various organizations working for the rights of freedom fighters thanked the Welfare of freedom fighters Minister Mr. Om Parkash Soni for the facilities being given by the Punjab Government for their welfare. On this occasion,

Cabinet Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa was also present.The representatives of different organizations said that the Punjab government, led by Capt. Amarinder Singh, has waived off the toll tax for freedom fighters. In addition, 300 units of electricity are being given at free of cost on domestic connection.

Tubewell connections are also being provided on a priority basis. Five beds in Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh are reserved for freedom fighters.The widows, unmarried and unemployed girls of freedom fighters and an attendant have bben given free travel facility in the Punjab government buses.
