3 Biharis killed in Kapurthala-Jalandhar highway Bus Accident Latest News: A tragic road accident killed three individuals on Tuesday morning, near  Mand on the Kapurthala-Jalandhar highway. 

The accident occurred when an overspeeding Bus, on the wrong side, collided head-on with a small goods carrier. 
In the images surfacing from the incident, the small vehicle can be seen completely mangled.

The deceased were identified as Kapurthala-based vegetable traders Ishwar Lal and Mukesh. The driver, who also lost his life in the accident, is identified as Rakesh. All three hailed from Bihar. 
According to reports, the deceased were on their way to Jalandhar to purchase fruits and vegetables when the fatal accident occurred. 

Local residents and relatives of the victims, outraged by the accident, blocked traffic on the Kapurthala-Jalandhar road, demanding strict action against the offender.

Police arrived at the spot and tried to calm down the protesters, assuring them of a thorough investigation.  

The bus driver fled the scene after the accident. The bodies were sent for a post-mortem examination.
Over-speeding buses are a menace to commuters and society. Buses can often be seen speeding on roads in Punjab.
