State Vigilance Bureau nabbed clerk Preetjatinder Singh of Punjab Roadways Sri Muktsar Sahib depot red-handed for accepting a bribe of Rs. 3500/-. Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of Vigilance Bureau Punjab said Preetjatinder Singh, a clerk was caught red-handed on the complaint of Jatinderpal Singh driver of Punjab Roadways Sri Muktsar Sahib depot. Giving details he said the complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the above-named clerk was demanding bribe of Rs. 3500/- to retain his duty on the Volvo bus route.

After verifying his complaint the VB team laid a trap and the accused was caught red-handed with Rs. 3500/- and tainted money was recovered from him in the presence of two official witnesses. He informed that a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused at VB police station Ferozerpur and further investigation was under progress.
