Supreme Court on Punjab Assistant Professors and Librarians Latest News Today: In a major development, the Supreme Court has accepted the Punjab Government's request to allow 1158 Assistant Professors and Librarians in government colleges till new recruitment. 

Sharing information regarding the same, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains took to X and wrote: "Big Relief for Higher Education of Punjab: Hon’ble Supreme Court has allowed Punjab Govt’s request to let 1158 Assistant Professors & Librarians continue in Govt Colleges till new recruitment."

"This ensures continuity of education for our students in government colleges," he added. 

"Meanwhile, Punjab Govt is also in process of filing a Review Petition to save the 1158 recruitment & will put the strongest case forward," he concluded.
