Jalandhar By-Polls: 'AAP' Candidate Sushil Rinku Files Nomination Papers

JALANDHAR: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku on Monday (April 17) filed his nomination papers for the Jalandhar by-elections. On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema were also present with him.

Notably, Finance Minister Harpal Cheema has been appointed as the in-charge of the party for the by-election. Sushil Rinku submitted the nomination form before Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh at the office. Earlier, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that it is hoped that the people of Jalandhar will honor us in this election so that we continue to work for the development of Punjab with double-quadruple enthusiasm.

Significantly, the nomination process for the Jalandhar by-election has started on April 13 under the first phase. After the one-day nomination on April 13, there were 3 holidays in between, so today is considered the second day of filing nominations. Sushil Rinku filed his nomination paper today. The by-election will be held on May 10 and the result will be announced on May 13.
