This Incident follows a recent fire that broke out in Block C of Nehru Hospital at PGI on October 9, underscoring the importance of fire safety measures within the medical facility. During the previous fire, patients were successfully relocated to Block A of Nehru Extension and Nehru Hospital, averting potential harm. More than 400 patients were safely moved, although seven hospital wards were affected and remain inactive.

Notably, Authorities at PGI Chandigarh are diligently working to handle this latest incident and ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals on the premises. Further updates on the situation will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
