Punjab IMD Weather Update Latest News Today: After recently witnessing a short spell of rain a few days ago, Punjab has been witnessing hot conditions and humidity in several areas. In the meanwhile, Punjab witnessed a heavy spell of rain in a few areas on Tuesday.

However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had said that the weather was expected to be clear on July 16 in all districts of Punjab while heavy rains persisted on July 17. In a surprising turn of events, heavy rain showered on several areas in Punjab. 

On July 18, 2024, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Nawashahr, SAS Nagar, Patiala, and Fatehgarh Sahib were issued yellow alerts, while other districts in Punjab have no alert, which means there is no warning in other districts. 

Also, no alert has been issued for July 19 in all districts, except Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Jalandhar, and Rupanagar. On July 20, a no alert was issued across all districts of Punjab, which means there would be no chance of rain in any district of Punjab.
